📝 Ingredients
- 4 large slices wholemeal bread (160 g)
- 2 tbsp peanut butter (32 g)
- 2 bananas
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 pinches ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sunflower seeds (10 g)
- 2 natural yoghurts (250 g)
🍴 Utensils
- Toaster
- Small frying pan
- Butter knife
- Chopping board
- Knife
📖 Steps
- Toast the wholemeal bread slices in the toaster, or for 3 to 4 minutes under the oven grill, until golden and crisp on the outside but still soft in the middle.
- Meanwhile, dry-toast the sunflower seeds in the small frying pan over a medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until lightly golden and nutty-smelling. Tip them straight onto a plate to stop the cooking.
- Stir the peanut butter well in its jar to mix back in the oil that has risen to the top. Spread 1/2 tbsp on each slice while still warm, right to the edges: the heat makes it melty and easy to spread.
- Peel the bananas and cut them into half-centimetre slices. Arrange them on the toast, slightly overlapping, and press down a little so they stick to the peanut butter.
- Drizzle honey in a zigzag over each slice, 1/2 tsp per slice, then dust with cinnamon and scatter over the toasted sunflower seeds.
- Serve straight away with one natural yoghurt per person. Don't make the toast in advance: after 15 minutes the banana turns brown and the bread goes soft under the topping.
💡 FitBot tip: For more protein, swap the yoghurt for 150 g skyr per person. Use really ripe, spotty bananas: they're sweeter, so you can cut down on the honey.
