📝 Ingredients
- 50 g rolled oats (quick or old-fashioned, as you prefer)
- 120 ml milk (whole or semi-skimmed cow's milk, or plant-based such as oat)
- 80 g plain or Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp chia seeds (optional but recommended)
- 1 tsp ground flaxseed (optional)
- 80 g red berries (fresh or thawed frozen: raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
- 1 tsp honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
🍴 Utensils
- 400 ml glass jar with lid
- Spoon
- Refrigerator
📖 Steps
- Pour the oats into the jar. Add the chia and flaxseed if using — they'll swell overnight and give a creamier texture.
- Pour in the milk, then the yogurt on top. Don't stir yet.
- Add the honey or syrup and the vanilla. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Add half the berries and fold in gently. Save the other half for the morning.
- Close the jar and refrigerate overnight (at least 4h, ideally 8h). The oats will absorb the liquid and become soft and tender.
- In the morning, take out the jar and stir. If it's too thick, loosen with a splash of milk. Top with the remaining fresh berries.
- Eat it straight from the jar — perfect for on the go!
💡 FitBot tip: Prep 3–5 jars on Sunday evening for the whole week. Mix up the toppings: almond butter, granola, shredded coconut, homemade compote. Overnight oats keep for 5 days in the fridge.
