📝 Ingredients

  • 400 g fromage frais
  • 80 g rolled oats
  • 15 g sunflower seeds
  • 10 g unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey (40 g)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 oranges

🍴 Utensils

  • Frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Large plate
  • Paring knife
  • Chopping board
  • 2 bowls

📖 Steps

  1. Melt the butter in the frying pan over a medium heat. Add the oats and sunflower seeds, then toast for 2 min, stirring constantly with the spatula, until they smell like biscuits.
  2. Add 1 tbsp honey, the cinnamon and the pinch of salt. Stir for another 1 min over a medium heat: the honey coats the oats and caramelises them. Watch closely, as honey burns very quickly.
  3. Immediately spread the oats over the large plate in a single layer and leave to cool for 5 min: they turn crispy as they cool. Break up any clumps with your fingertips.
  4. Meanwhile, peel the oranges down to the flesh: cut off both ends, stand the fruit flat and remove the peel and all the white pith with the knife, following the curve of the orange from top to bottom.
  5. Over a bowl, slide the blade along each side of every membrane to release the skinless segments, known as suprêmes. Then squeeze what's left of the fruit between your fingers to collect the juice.
  6. Divide the fromage frais between the 2 bowls, add the orange segments and their juice, then sprinkle with the crunchy oats. Drizzle with the remaining honey and eat straight away, before the oats go soft.
💡 FitBot tip: Make a double batch of toasted oats: they keep for a week in an airtight jar. For extra protein, stir 15 g vanilla whey into the fromage frais.
